The Marlin 3/8" dovetail rail is cut with Picatinny slots so you can use Picatinny or Weaver style rings and accessories. The rail allows you to easily "zero" your scope between 25yrds out to about 160yrds with most scopes and the slots allow you to locate the optics exactly where you need it to be for correct eye relief . The slots also allow you to move the scope easily for different shooting positions. Fits most *model 60, 795 and other semi-auto rimfire Marlins. NO Drilling & Tapping required held in place with 6(supplied) 1/16" Allen drive set screws
Factory sights are still usable with the rail installed

Recommended Tools:
Purple Thread Locker
1/16" Allen wrench
Inch pound torque wrench

Note:
Fits *most all pre-2005 Marlin semi-auto rimfire rifles.

The part number or white mark on the bottom of the rail should be placed forward toward the muzzle.

*Some rifles have a narrow cut dovetail. Your dovetail must be at least 0.430" wide.

5MOA built in to the mount to allow most scopes to be "zeroed" anywhere from 25-160yrds using 22LR target or subsonic ammunition
