This part is the biggest single improvement you can make to the Savage 64. The magazine release is now much easier to operate, and I can now pull a mag with one hand. Installation is easy and straight forward, but a little awkward due to the way the spring fits in the housing. It takes a little patience, but it goes together easily enough. I found it best to start the hinge pin and use a pair of needle nose pliers to compress the spring while tapping the pin through with a light hammer. I highly recommend this part for anyone who owns a Savage 64. Worth twice the price.
