The Marlin 3/8" dovetail rail is cut with Picatinny slots so you can use Picatinny or Weaver style rings and accessories. The additional 25MOA allows you to easily "zero" your scope at 200yrds or more plus the slots allow you to locate the optics exactly where you want it to be for those long range target scopes. The slots also allow you to move the scope easily for different shooting positions. Fits the model 60, 795 and other semi-auto rimfire Marlins.

The part number on the bottom of the rail should be placed forward toward the muzzle.
