I started with a Warne 15MOA rail, but it was too high for me. The DIP rail is probably .3" lower and gives me a much more comfortable cheek weld on my 457 synthetic stainless rifle. It also looks sleeker. The open middle of the rail over the ejection port makes loading single bullets very easy with a single shot adapter. However, the open area does not have Picatinny slots, which disallows mounting my 3-9x40 Leupold rimfire scope just a bit farther forward. It's as forward as it can go with the rear ring as close as possible to the power selector. This rail's very low profile is its biggest advantage over others, in my view, and I bought a second one for my 457 MTR. Easy install and extremely high quality product. $20 less than a Warne.
