I own a Marlin 25N that my dad bought me in the mid-90's when I was just getting old enough to start shooting. It only had a grooved receiver and was not drilled and tapped for any other optics mount. Now that we live in an era of picatinny rails and fancy optics, I wanted an upgrade for my aging eyes. To my surprise, this mount fit my rail perfectly, and the set screws allowed for a sturdy mounting platform. The fit and finish of this mount is excellent, and I'm very happy to have discovered it. I wholeheartedly recommend this mount to anyone wanting to modernize their old Marlin/Glenfield .22.
