These are well made bolts and fit properly. For my MKII in a Boyd's laminated stock with DIP's heavy bottom metal, I had to shorten both of these bolts a bit using a bench grinder and cooling the bolt frequently to have sufficient thread engagement without them bottoming out. However. the real problem is why Savage chose an otherwise unobtainable thread size and pitch. Absolutely no standard fastener supplier has #12-32 bolts in any form or material so the only sources are DIP and Savage. Why not 1/4"-28 like Ruger uses?
