I finished installing the stock today. The stock itself is solid and rigid which is why I replaced the factory stock. The main issue I encountered was that the barrel channel was too tight. It took about two hours of careful sanding to allow the action to drop into the channel. I then had to go back and sand the remainder of the channel (not required for dropping in) in order to float the barrel. The second issue was that I had to mill out 2mm off the rear of the magazine well slot in order for the magazine release to function.. I then coated the sanded areas with Rustoleum high temp stove paint to seal it back from moisture etc. Having said all that I do really like the stock. I will include pictures if I can see where to upload them.

I was looking for a decent stock for my Savage FV SR and decided to go with the Boyds Pro Varmint. The replacement of the original plastic stock with the Boyds stock required additional parts such as a heavier magazine floor plate, longer action screws and a new trigger guard. DIP had the stock and all required parts in one kit and I placed my order. Approximately 5 days later I received an empty crushed box with no contents. I made photos of the damaged box and wrote DIP immediately. Within 3 days I received a replacement stock in perfect condition. The folks at DIP filed the claim for damages with the postal service and made sure I received the product I ordered and was satisfied. You won't go wrong buying from this company. A+ for service and another A+ for supplying a quality product.

Ok guys, HUGE update to a factory stocked MkII FV-SR. The old child-sized polyester piece-o-crap stock is already headed to the recycle bin. I was a bit hesitant to commit to a stock that cost nearly as much as the original rifle, but seeing what I do now I definitely would buy another without a second thought. My little critter gun grew up! The rifled action went into the stock in less than ten minutes and absolutely without issue, bolted up easily and fits perfectly with a nice, evenly gapped full float on the barrel. Furthermore, the level of service provided by DIP Inc. was Simply Amazing. I ordered on Tuesday morning, I received a shipment notification that afternoon and the stock showed up (Utah address) on Thursday despite it being New Years Eve and the 'rona. (Thanks to USPS too!) I could easily continue ranting about my experience, but I'm sure you already have an idea.

I have two of these now, bolted right up, fit great. Best of all both rifles shoot great, much better than they did with the factory stock. Highly recommended!

I was not sure if this would work but the adjustable comb stock was back-ordered. I decided with this stock and had it in three days. Fit and finish was very nice and no issues putting it together. Overall great item and would buy from DIP again in the future.

Like a lot of the other reviews, I placed my order on Friday and Monday morning it was here! I Took the old stock off drop the upper into the new and it fit great as, well as shot great with a true spotwell. If you have not made this mod you need to!

Got it fast.. the only thing I'm going to have to do is open the barrel channel up a bit more I can not slide a dollar bill between the stock and the barrel. That pretty nice and balances the riffle out.. Waiting for small game season.. At 25 yards getting groups smaller than a dime...

Ordered on a Friday just a couple minutes before these guys closed. Received a phone call minutes after to verify my address so that they could get it in the post as they only had 5 minutes left before cut off and wanted to get it shipped that day. I received the stock along with bottom metal kit Monday morning!!! That is the fastest order to door of my life. Even Amazon isn't that good. Fast shipping just like everyone else. Figured that I would have to bed that action because if would be sloppy. Not the case here, the action fit as if it was bedded. It is perfect

Great stock and a much needed upgrade to my savage mark II fv-sr. Very fast shipping , ordered Tuesday night and was at my door on Friday. All hardware included fit perfectly. Could not be happier with the stock! Will be doing business again in the future!
