Needed this for an older Model 64F action that I put into a Boyd's stock for my son. The first gen 64's didn't have this piece, and OEM replacements are out of stock everywhere. Compared to the newer 64F I bought for my daughter this piece is much better made. It's thicker and therefor rigid, compared to the thin stamped steel OEM part. There is a finished side to this, make sure you put the pretty side out! If you plan to use this in a Boyd's stock you will have to do a little dremel work to get it to sit down flush. Just be careful and take your time. Wish it came in stainless to go with my 64SS.
