I purchased this stock and bottom metal kit for my Savage MKii FV-SR top replace the factory stock. I didn't like the plastic factory stock due to the low cheek comb and poor accuracy. Even after alterations were made to accept a quality bipod I couldn't get repeatable groups with no cheek rest. This stock solved all those problems. With a 56mm objective scope, the cheek rest goes high enough to provide stable aiming. The barreled action of my MKII dropped right into the stock and bolted up securely. The metal trigger guard and bottom metal were great upgrades from the factory offerings. The wide semi flat fore end made adding a picatinny section easy to install for better bipod options. Now I can achieve 1" to 1-1/4" groups at 100 yards with quality ammo.
