Expensive, since the 795 only cost $200 used. However, it's the best solution as the original trigger guard plastic was disintegrating. I thought about going the parts swap route, but the original trigger was nothing to write home about. Also, I felt I'd spend as much time swapping the parts from the old to new guard and chasing all those little parts as they dropped into the carpet, I was better off buying the complete solution. This is a better (not huge, but better) improvement. in terms of trigger action, feel and break. I initially tightened the trigger guard to the gun too tight and had nothing but misfeeds, etc. I found out from DIP support not to go past 12 inch/pounds on torque of the two retaining screws. That eliminated the misfeeding and the OEM nickel magazines worked well after that. (The 7 rounders can wiggle loose, but was true of the old guard too.) The 25 round promag stopped with the bolt hold open feature with this guard, but otherwise worked fine. I later upgraded my Papoose and found much the same outcomes. I do like this trigger. Will probably outlast me! -1/2 star lack of directions in package on how to set adjustment screws. You tube.

After spoiling my 795 with a new Boyd spike camp stock there wasn't a better second upgrade than a trigger assembly. It looks and fits fantastic and the feel is much improved from the plastic factory trigger assembly. I am not aware of another company that makes these upgrades for the Marlin, so I was very pleased that this option is of such high standards. Very fast shipping to boot.

Woo don't tell me that last one i order everything is back order Got one for Marlin 795 couple year back I upgraded to KAT trigger Just got another for Marlin 700 Big 5 special 1989 model last week THIS IS ONE AND ONLY ONE OF THE BEST TRIGGER FOR MARLIN 22 KAT TRIGGER AND DIP INC ARE THE TWO SUPERB UPGRADE NOTHING ELSE
