I installed this on a CZ 452 American with only about 20 trigger pulls on it. I took my time and spent 1.5 hours installing, adjusting and testing. A subsequent install would probably take me 30 minutes. Read the instructions twice. They are clearly presented and will save you time and heartache. They are on this site, not included with the parts. Make sure you have a straight pin or small safety pin handy (I lost ten minutes looking for one) to capture the detent ball. I put the sear in a padded vice to depress and capture the detent ball. I used a high quality paste lube on all trigger-sear friction surfaces. I cut approximately .75 of a coil off the trigger spring and ground the end flat. The trigger had been previously adjusted all the way out and was at 2.75 pounds. Trimming .75 of one coil lowered the pull by approximately .5 pounds in my rifle. To save time adjusting take-up after the trigger is installed, just drop the action in the stock and hold it firmly in place with your non-firing hand while pulling the trigger. Remove, adjust, repeat just until no felt take-up. Position the trigger shoe on the trigger and get a firing grip to determine the appropriate position for your finger then tighten one screw, blue Loctite the other, then remove the first and Loctite it. After trigger and shoe were installed and adjusted, I dry-fired 10 times to settle it in then measured 15 trigger pulls from 2.25 to 2.4 pounds with the average being 2.3. There was no discernible take-up and sear let-off was crisp with no discernible creep (much better than before). I pounded the butt on the floor a few times and smacked it around a little and the sear held firm. I am very pleased with this and understand my trigger better now.

This was put into a .22 LR CZ 452 Style and IMO, this sear and a spring kit fix the only flaw with the rifle. "The only interesting rifles are accurate ones.." and this is a very interesting rifle. Within about 10 minutes I was able to change out the spring, install the sear, and adjust the set screw on said sear. The long take up and gritty feel were gone. I won't truly compare this to a Jewell trigger, but it's as close as I would expect for the price and the rifle mechanism it's installed into. Not so much trigger squeeze, as trigger touch. The sear and shoe come with clear and easy to follow instructions. Reading them through once before following them as I installed the sear was adequate. I also ordered a magazine with this set and received the wrong one (I got a .22 magnum magazine) and I had the correct replacement in hand in a few days. A mailer was sent with the .22 LR mag and that was that. Great product and great people to deal with.

After 2 hours of trying to put the ball/spring assembly back together I went to the internet for instructions, as none were included. Suggestion - use a large ziplock bag and do all the work inside the bag - will save the ball when it flys out (and it will do so 2 dozen times before you get it right!) The trigger shoe is a nice touch - but would rather have had some instruction. End result is a wonderfully crisp trigger with no (none) slack. Highly recommend the product, but could really use some instructions. The lack of directions cost you a star. M Thank you for your purchase and taking the time to write a review. Just a note for next time, the printable instructions are listed under the product photo on the web site.
