Ordered this same rail in black from M*Carbo but was way too wide and would fall off the rifle and returned it for a refund. I ordered this rail and BAM!! it was in my mail box two days later. It fit my Model 60SS perfectly, slid on easily with very little free movement. I was a little surprised they didn't include a 50 cent Allen wrench with it and I had to go round up one that fit. I dinged them a 1/2 star for that. I am very pleased with the fit, finish and ungodly fast shipping though.

Ordered a 3/8 Picatinny scope rail but was worried about the install. Received it today but it would not slide on the Marlin 60. Took some 320 emery cloth sand paper, folded it a few times and sanded the grove on the rail a bit. Slid it on and off a few time sanding a little more each time. Had a perfect fit in about 5 minutes. Can't wait till my new scope arrives. Thanks DIP for making a great product.

This mount fixed a long standing problem I had of scope creep/walk. With a somewhat canted front iron sight and having gone through 2-3 dovetail mount solutions on an otherwise decent shooter I was frustrated without end simply because my scope won't hold zero and I could never fully realize my Marlin's true potential. A gun board pointed me in DIP's direction for folks having dovetail issues on these Marlin's assembled in recent years after acquisition. The looks and color of the mount have a stock-like appearance so tapping the top of the receiver was not a problem to get this semi-permanent solution in place. It looks like it belongs there. Now I can enjoy my Marlin Model 60 again and have several boxes of mini-mags down range with 1-2" groups all day. Excellent product, winner on reliable function and looks.
