Absolutely prefect fit for my Granddaughter's Rascal and to mount Red Dot sight. Cutout is big enough to allow for loading chamber. Sits high enough that she can still use the peep sight. No issues with threads as I tested prior to mounting. Didn't have purple tread lock, so use blue (removable) Highly recommend this mount!

Great product and fast shipping. I installed it and I'm very happy with the mount. I ran a tap through my Rascal receiver just to clean up the threads a little. The tap size is 6-48.

This mount fits perfectly on my sons savage rascal! Ive mounted a reflex sight on it and everything works perfectly! No issues reloading or ejecting. The space in the rail also allows for the user to still use the peep sight just in case my sight were to fail. Thanks DIPRODUCTSINC!!

Very nice part. I previously bought the scope mounts that Savage sells for the Rascal, but I found they did not allow enough fore/aft adjustment. This design is superior and it is a very nicely made part. The fit and finish was excellent. I also like that it installs without removing the OEM rear sight and, as noted in the description, the groove down the center still allows the use of the iron sights. So you have the option of removing your optic and shooting the iron sights without having to remove this rail. I would strongly recommend for mounting any optic, whether a red dot or a scope, on the Savage Rascal.

Great base for my son's Rascal. Lets you mount a full sized scope and have enough fore and aft movement to get the eye relief right. Very quick shipping, I received it two days after I placed the order!

Exactly what I needed. Single piece, with access cutout. I mounted a 6-24x40 on my boys Rascal. Looks crazy awesome.

Shipped fast! Supply drives demand so I payed more for this than I would like as a result of no better options. I am pleased with the product. I cut the back half off as I was only mounting a burris fastfire iii (so I didn't need so much rail space) and I want to see the loading port from both sides while my little buddy is using the rifle. After mounting (on my only sample) the cutout down the center of the rail meant to be used for sighting with the iron sights isn't perfectly centered, but it does line up close enough to use the way it is intended. I think this is a cool option, but would have preferred to lose it in favor of a lower overall mount. It could be that my rifle is drilled off-center and not the rail. I can't tell which is off by looking at it. My goal with this rifle is the lightest option I can muster for my son's little muscles to learn on. I think the rifle is my best option. I think the fastfire is my best option, and after cutting off the back half of this mount - I think it is also my best option. If I could order exactly what I want it would be an even shorter version of the front half of the rail that is lower and closer to the receiver. If that becomes an option - let me know and I'll buy it! Even at this price again:-) I gave four stars because for my application (and I think a great sample of the users of this particular rifle) the design of this part would be better fit for mounting a small red dot than a larger scope. However, if your goal is to mount a scope with two rings - I can't see a better option out there and this would be a five star product in my book!

Very good quality piece. Cut out eases use of firearm when loading and clearing jams. Great piece for my kids and much better than the stock Savage pieces.

just received my rail today after a short couple days of waiting. it looks to be well manufactured and no blemishes. cant wait to get in on my sons gun and see his face on xmas day. thanks for the great product!

This rail is very well designed and fits the Rascal precisely. I've mounted a Bushnell First Strike red dot sight on it and it's very secure. I will probably put a scope on it in the future, and I sure that will work just fine too. My only suggestion would be to extend the back of the rail a 1/2" or so to add one more groove. Other than that, it's perfect!
